Local Business Highlight: The Wooden Rooster in Downtown St. Petersburg, FL

Right next door to our Downtown St. Pete Shop we have a delicious French Creperie called The Wooden Rooster. The Wooden Rooster is a really unique place, they not only have phenomenal sweet dessert crepes, but they also make amazing savory crepes as well as a variety of yummy salads. They offer many gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options, as well.

There are about 30 types of crepes on their menu. The most popular crepe on the menu is the Apple Melt. The Apple Melt is a mix of sweet and savory containing turkey, spinach, brie, caramelized apples, and caramel sauce, yum! Another popular menu item is the French Philly crepe, The Wooden Roster’s take on a Philly cheesesteak containing asiago cheese, caramelized onions, roast beef, arugula and then they finish it off with their own in-house made horseradish crema… to die for. If none of these have your mouth watering you can also build-your-own crepe!

The Wooden Roster is very reasonably priced and has a great vibe with their outdoor seating right outside of Beach Drive, or you can enjoy their beautifully decorated interior if you need a space to study, work, or just a cool place to get away from the St. Pete sun for a bit! Our Broker and Managing Owner, Leisa Erickson, loves eating breakfast at The Wooden Rooster. You can sometimes find her and her husband and License Partner, Matt Erickson enjoying the outdoor seating, having a coffee or some juice with one of their favorite crepes in between their busy schedules.

The owner of The Wooden Rooster, Jeremy Duclut, is originally from Burgundy, France. He immigrated to Northern United States and began his career by opening a restaurant with his business partner. He then emigrated to St. Pete because he loved the area and opened another restaurant. Both the restaurants he’d opened were partnerships and he wanted a place of his own, enter The Wooden Rooster. The General Manager referred to this “french farmhouse” restaurant as his “baby project”.

The Wooden Rooster is located at 104 2nd Ave NE right next to our Downtown Shop! Come have some breakfast, brunch, or lunch and stop by to chat with us. You can also find them on Instagram or Facebook at The Wooden Rooster or @TheWoodenRooster.
